The Berchtesgaden National Park is located in the southeastern part of Germany directly on the Austrian border.

Neighboring the National Park lie five townships that include: Berchtesgaden, Bischofswiesen, Marktschellenberg, Ramsau and Schönau am Königssee.

The National Park forefield stretches yet further to Hallthurm and Saalachsee and creates, along with the National Park, the Berchtesgaden Biosphere Reserve.

You can arrive by various means of transportation including bus, train, car or by bike. The accesses into the National Park are easily reachable, for the most part, by local public transportation. Sufficient parking is also available.
